Important message regarding the obligation to communicate the details of the designated Data Protection Officer to the supervisory authority
In accordance with Art. 37, para. 7 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on informing the supervisory authority about the designated Data Protection Officer, CPDP accepted an example of a Notification, which the Controller/Processor shall fill and submit to CPDP. Instructions on how to fill the form are contained in the Notification itself.
Controllers/Processors who have already submitted such information to CPDP, should not submit it once again. If additional information is needed, CPDP will contact them officially.
The completed Notification for a Data Protection Officer is sent to CPDP in one of the following ways:
1. In person, on a paper carrier – in the office of CPDP at: Sofia 1592, 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov blvd., Commission for Personal Data Protection
2. With a letter at address: Sofia 1592, 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov blvd., Commission for Personal Data Protection
3. At CPDP’s email - firstname.lastname@example.org. In such case, the Notification should be signed with a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES)
